The National Weather Service has canceled its Winter Storm Warning and issued a Blizzard Warning for Camden, Gloucester, Burlington and surrounding counties.

Due to the excessive snow in the region, all residents are urged to park cars in their driveways this evening, Tuesday February 9. Streets need to be clear of vehicles for Borough crews to effectively plow snow overnight. Please park as many cars as possible in your driveways this evening on all Collingswood streets. Please pass this notice along to neighbors to help assure streets are clear for plowing.

No overnight parking permits will be granted Tuesday, February 9 or Wednesday, February 10 by the Collingswood Police Department.

All recreation programs and signups for February 9 and February 10 are cancelled.

South Jersey braces for more snow

South Jerseyans might not get a chance to rest after spending the weekend digging out from a major snowstorm.

Forecasters say another a storm starting late Tuesday is expected to bring a foot or more to most of the Garden State, with 18 inches or more in a swath across the middle of the state.

Inch by inch, region digs out from snow

Doug Kelly was busy with his shovel Sunday morning. But he wasn't clearing the sidewalk outside his salon, Blue, in Haddon Township. He was creating a huge pile of snow to make into a giant snowman.

"During the last snowstorm I saw an eight-foot snowman in Collingswood," said Kelly, dressed in a long-sleeved shirt with a warm fleece vest. "I think that if Collingswood could have a snowman then Haddon should have a snowman."

South Jerseyans learned to cope with the winter storm that dumped record-breaking amounts of snow in the region, with parts of Cherry Hill seeing just over 27 inches.

Blizzard on the way? Forecast calls for 18-24 inches

Winter-weary New Jerseyans will soon be dealing with another major storm that is expected to bring heavy snow to southern and coastal areas, with lesser amounts forecast for the north.

The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Ocean counties today, along with southeastern Burlington County, while winter storm warnings were issued for most other counties.

South Jersey residents spent Sunday digging out from a snowy blast that gave the area an early taste of winter to come.

Armed with shovels, brooms, ice scrapers, snowblowers and anything else that could loosen snow, residents cleared off sidewalks, driveways and dug out cars after more than 20 inches of snow fell in some places.
